Hi there,

I had this issue on other Helix based Templates.
This is a unexpected change in Joomla OS since 3.4.2.

Replace "false" with "true" on line 143 (approx) in '/plugins/system/helix/js/admin/layout.admin.js'.
This fix works like charm for me.
