My FTP-Client didn't transfer the changes to the server. I did the changes again... and now it works!

I can't see an option to centre the slider images within the module.

This module does not allow you set module to center of your page in backend, you need write css in your template.
About the width of module, you can set width, height, max-width of module in the backend.
