Hello and congratulations for the great module. I spent a long time looking for a slider with configurable animated captions and yours is awesome.

I'd like to share two issues I found recently and ask for your help to address them myself, as my module configuration may be faulty, or have them kindly corrected by you. Please refer to the site I'm working on.

1. The module works just perfeclty on desktops / notebooks using Chrome, Safari and Firefox. However, on IE an additional screen space (beyond page limits) is added to the right and to the bottom. I have 3 slides, each of them being 1920x750 px, and have configured the slider with "Max Width" = 1920, "Max Height" = 750 and "Scale Width" = 1920. Please let me know how to get rid of the unwanted screen space observed in IE, even if this requires CSS tweaking.

2. When the page is open on an iPad in the vertical (or horizontal) position, the slider shows up and works perfectly, filling the screen width as I want it to. However, when the device is rotated 90 degrees, the original slider dimensions are preserved, with no full responsiveness (I would expect it to expand or shrink proportionally adjusting to the new maximum display width available). Again, please let me know if there is something I can do on the configuration front to mitigate this.

Many thanks in advance!

Paulo

Hello Paulo,

Thank you for your reporting. We've fixed 2 bugs in your reported. Please download new version and update it on your website.
@carosouza: We also added the new style to display Thumbnails above image, now you can set Thumbnails at the Top or the Bottom of slider.
You can see live demo there: joomla.vinagecko.com/extensions/?extension=jssor_image_slider

Best regards.

Good morning, Rango.

First, thank you much for promptly acting on my request. I understand that Jssor IS is a free module, and your quick reply was very welcome.

I'm glad to inform that after upgrading to version 1.0.1 the first problem I noticed has been fully addressed: no extra screen space is added on Internet Explorer anymore. The performance remains perfect on other browsers, so this has been solved.

However, the automatic slider resizing on tablets when screens are rotated is still not working. I'm testing Jssor IS with a 3rd Gen iPad and two browsers, Safari and Chrome for iOS. The problem persists on both. Any additional help on this issue would be great. Important to mention that the slider can be manually (and successfully) resized after rotation when the page is manually refreshed, but this is not what one would expect from a full responsive module.

Again, many thanks for your attention.

Paulo

Rango,

Let me share few additional observations that may be useful in your analysys of the tablet issue.

On Chrome for iOS, users have in the browser's menu the option to force the "request of a desktop site". After forcing it and refreshing the page, the slider resizes upon device rotation beautifully as expected! So the problem seems to happen when the "request desktop site" is not enabled. I couldn't find this option on Safari for iOS, so couldn't test it there. Interestingly, I also have Chrome on my Android smartphone. There the Jssor Image Slider works just perfectly both on "mobile site" and "destop site" modes.

I can send you videos detailing the issue, if necessary, please advise.

Thank you!

Paulo

Hello Rango, thank you for returning my request and answered, and few developers that meet promptly to requests for free modules. So with this good support in the future we can acquire paid components if I need. Congratulations!
