What's the name of the module you are using? We have 4 modules Treeview here: Vina Treeview for K2, Vina Treeview for Content, Vina Treeview for Menus, Vina Treeview for JShopping.
And can you post url to your page? It's look nice a problem with jQuery conflict, but we don't know Where it comes from.

I downloaded and tried the Vina treeview for Menu module and it really was what I was looking for. The only thing that I want to achieve now is to modify/change the font size and font style of the text, where should I do that?

You can modify/change the font size and font family of this module by write css code in your template (Override css of module)
Or you also can change css code of this module in this path: ROOT/modules/mod_vina_treeview_menus/assets/css/jquery.treeview.css
(If you change css in the module, you can't update module in the future, because all your code will override when you update to latest version)
